In Australia. Limited Edition New Indian Scout Mk II.

ScoutmkiiIt may be a trend to be followed in the US and other countries. For the second time Australia Indian Motorcycle is offering a new 2016 customized Indian Scout in limited edition of 10 units. In black & gold trim with black wire wheels and a spring solo seat, it is inspired by a 1935 Springfield era Scout. I guess they sell very fast as it would here in the US.

I am pretty sure they sell extremely fast.

    Prefer the 1935 version.

Both very nice looking bikes, but the whole Indian ad focus reminds me of when a movie opens with “Based on a true story”…

I like it, for what it is, a modern interpretation !
Besides, what not to like about 100 hp out of the box ?

Wire wheels for when looks count more than function. The good news is any black Scout can easily be transformed into this look; with or without the wire wheels.

A really fun limited edition Scout would be one with with a girder or springer front end. Then we are really getting into the nostalgia end of it but with all the other cool tech advantages of today. Done right; it could handle just fine. Heck; Harley did it years ago with a Springer…

The spring seat is daft – the rest is not bad…

Love the technology, improved performance and handling of the new Indians, but I’m with Kenny: give me the ’35.

Shame…..What a waste. Press over here are pushing the new Scouts as ladies motorcycles already. Guess these are the same people that have given Sportsters that label for many years.
